Rait Castle a Scottish Castle near Inverness. Its construction dates to the 13th century and is generally associated with Clan Comyn also being known as de Rait. Clan MacIntosh gaining possession of Rait castle after much blood shed in a epic tale which leads many to believe the castle to be haunted to this day.
An imposing castle for its time it boast 6ft thick walls and a large tower rising above the 2 story building. With 9ft tall court yard walls, portcullis and guarded entry to the main hall it would have been a more than safe place in times of strife.
