Angus MackIntosh then becoming 7th Chief of Clan Chattan residing in Tor Castle the seat of Clan Chattan. Clan Chattan is a confederation of 12 separate highland clans uniting under one banner and chief. Though the claim to Chiefdom has been challenged over the centuries leadership has long been established through the Chiefs of Clan McIntosh.

The Battle of Largs was fought between the Scottish and Norwegian Kingdoms during the Scottish Norwegian war of 1263. The Battle of the North Inch  or Battle of the Clans was a historic battle fought in the year 1396 in Perth, Scotland. The North Inch Battle was fought in front of the court of King Robert III of Scotland and his court of nobles. All attempts to put an end to a 360 year feud between the Clan MackIntosh (Clan Chattan) and Clan Cameron had failed when it was agreed upon, Trial by Combat. Clan McIntosh History

Clan McIntosh History begins with Shaw of the royal house of MacDuff the second son of Duncan MacDuff the Earl of Fife. In 1160 Shaw’s forces aided King Malcolm IV King of Scots in suppressing a bloody rebellion in Moray.
